Central Psychological Support Service (Pre-school Service)
Target Group
- Pre- school children who are referred to the following service units through the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services:
- Pre-school children with special education needs under Integrated Programmes (IP) in Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres (ICCC).
- Early Education & Training Centres (EETC) operated by the subvented sectors that are not allocated with agency-based clinical or educational psychological services.
- Special Child Care Centres (SCCC) operated by the subvented sectors that not allocated with agency-based clinical or educational psychological service.
- Parents and major caregivers of pre- school children of the above.
- Special Child Care Workers / kindergarten teachers of the above.
Services
Clinical psychologists of SWD Central Psychological Support Service, Pre-school Service (CPSS(PS)) pay visits to rehabilitation units for pre-school children with special education needs (SEN) and their parents/major caregivers to provide the following services:
- To provide consultation and training to caregivers of pre-school children with SEN;
- To provide in-depth psychological treatment for children with SEN and their parents/major caregivers who are assessed to be in need;
- To provide consultation and training for Special Child Care Workers/teachers who work directly with children with SEN.
Access to Services
