Highlights of the Year 2023-24

EXPANDING RESPITE SERVICE NETWORK FOR ELDERLY PERSONS
Since December 2023, about 140 private residential care homes for the elderly under the Enhanced Bought Place Scheme have, in addition to residential respite services, provided day respite services for needy elderly persons in the community when vacant places are available.
COMMUNITY CARE SERVICE VOUCHER SCHEME FOR THE ELDERLY (CCSV SCHEME)
The CCSV Scheme was made permanent in September 2023, with the number of CCSVs increased to 10 000 and the coverage of the CCSV Scheme expanded to include the rental of assistive technology products.
