New Personalised Weather Website to Enhance Weather Information Services for Ethnic Minorities

The Observatory’s new personalised weather website

The Hong Kong Observatory launched a new personalised weather website in May 2021. In addition to adopting a responsive web design that updates the appearance of the website and supports user customisation of the layout, the new website can also provide basic weather information and weather warnings in eight ethnic minority languages (Indonesian, Hindi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tagalog, Thai, Urdu and Vietnamese) to facilitate ethnic minorities’ access to local weather information in their language.
