Peru is an important trading partner of Hong Kong in Latin America. It is also an emerging market with huge potential. The Free Trade Agreement signed between Hong Kong and Peru (HK-Peru FTA) in November 2024 provides manufacturers, service providers and investors of Hong Kong with better conditions to enter the Peruvian market, and helps them to expand their businesses in Peru, and through Peru to the Latin American markets.

In this seminar, Mr. Enrique Carlos CARDENAS ARESTEGUI, the Consul-General of Peru in Hong Kong, and the Honourable Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung, non-official member of the Executive Council and member of the Legislative Council, are invited to introduce the trade and business opportunities in Peru and Latin America. The seminar will also introduce the HK-Peru FTA and how the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (“the BUD Fund”) assists enterprises in exploring the relevant markets.
