issue in April 1999 with the last day of acceptance of the
provisional allotments on 04/05/99. The Grande Nominees
Limited has not subscribed for its provisional allotments
under the said rights issue. Accordingly, the percentage
shareholding of Grande Nominees will be diluted to 9.32%
following the issue of the rights shares, which is expected
to be on 12/05/99, the date of despatch of the rights share
certificates by China Star to its shareholders. Grande
Nominees will cease to have a notifiable interest in China
Star with effect on 12/05/99.
