Hong Kong Observatory and Solomon Islands Meteorological Service sign expanded MOU to strengthen meteorological collaboration

On 10 September 2024, the Hong Kong Observatory and the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service (SIMS) signed an expanded memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation at the Observatory’s headquarters, to further enhance collaboration and exchanges in aeronautical meteorological science and technologies, including sharing experiences in quality management systems and ICAO aeronautical information management. The MOU was signed by the Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, Dr Chan Pak-wai, and the Director of the SIMS, Mr David Hiba Hiriasia, and witnessed by Mr Tse Chin-wan, Secretary for Environment and Ecology of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
