Adverse reactions to anti-TB drugs

The great majority of TB patients tolerate the drugs well without any adverse reactions. However, some patients may develop certain side effects. Some of the commoner ones include:

• - nausea and vomiting
• - decrease in appetite
• - fever
• - dizziness
• - ringing sensation in the ears (tinnitus)
• - blurring of vision
• - skin itchiness and skin rash

Patients developing these side effects or other discomfort should consult their doctors for advice.
